Mopar - Dodge Grand Prix of New Jersey Preview

The North American Road Racing Association (NARRA) returns to the Thunderbolt circuit of New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) August 28th-30th. The weekend marks round number 11 and 12 of the 13 round season, as the National Championship picture is starting to come into focus. Dodge can certainly claim the highest amount of http://thelifeunexpected.com/buy-cheapest-levitra horsepower to the ground as the entry list starts to build.

The GTU class of the USGT Championship shows the #53 RH Motorsports, Dodge Viper of Mike Hartley in the lead by only six points. Hartley took the lead position from the www.aebm.org #415 All Chicago Fleet, Dodge Viper of Tom Antonelli via the results of back-to-back wins at Pitt Race a few weeks ago. Jim Stout and the #1 Coastal Pet Motorsports, Dodge Viper is holding onto third place overall, but is in position to shake up the top three with a good result at NJMP. Don’t count out Ray Sweers and his #44 Positron, Dodge Viper. While Sweers is out of the championship title contention, he could score well enough to move up the ladder. The key element to this weekend could be that NJMP is Hartley’s home track. He knows its corners and secrets better than anyone on the grid.

GT1 is now locked up by the #98 V.E.R.T. Fitness – PartsRack, Dodge Viper of Russ Oasis. His closest competition, #49 Dodge Viper of Dave Moore, ran into problems at the Pitt Race event and will not be able to put the car on the track at NJMP. The two drivers with the www.sascha-kasper.com most to gain this weekend will be Scott Welham in the #61 McCann Racing, Dodge Viper and the #48 Swiss-Micron, Dodge Viper of Kurt Sollberger. Only one point separates the pair, and with Moore’s absence, they could catapult themselves into the top three before heading into finals in October. Oasis also currently leads the Viper Racing League championship, but that one is far from over. Four other Viper racers are within striking distance of taking the title home.

A similar story has played out in the GT2 competition. Victor Caldarelli Jr. has locked up the national title in his #93 Lintz Collision, Dodge Viper. Caldarelli, in his first full season of GT racing, has racked up six class wins and enough points that he does not need to turn a wheel at NJMP.

The GT3 national title will be going to Zach Davis in the #28 SimGear.com, Corvette. Davis had a tight battle going with the #61 Lotus of John Walczak until the June event at VIR. Walczak had a single car incident early in the weekend that sidelined him for the season. NARRA - Whelen USTT driver, Nick Coutu, will be making his first USGT appearance at NJMP, but he will not have an impact on the points.

The Whelen US Time Trial (USTT) outlook also has several clear winners before the buy tramadol 180 season concludes in October.

TTU is being led by the Paul’s Automotive Engineering, Ford Mustang of cheap tramadol prescriptions online discover card Brian Faessler. Faessler, always in contention for the best lap of the weekend, is ahead of the Hero Reward Dodge Viper of Mansen Way. In fact, the duo finished the 2014 season in the exact same positions. Neither driver is on the registration list as of this morning, but Way has an opportunity to regain first overall if he can make the competition.

TT1 is currently a tie for first between the #38 DBW Motorsports, Nissan GTR of rick MacPherson and purchase discount viagra on the internet the Pure Tuning Subaru STI of Tony Calabrese.  Each driver needs to score points in one of the remaining weekends to qualify for the title. Right now MacPherson is the only one of the two on the registration list.

The TT2 national title will go to Phil Grabow in his Element Tuning, Subaru STI. Grabow has a big lead over his closest competition, Bruce Chapman. Unfortunately it is almost an impossibility that we will see Chapman, who had to take himself out of the season for health reasons.

Walter Bobko could wrap up the 2015 TT3 title at NJMP with his #88 Bobko Financial, Ford Mustang. Earlier in the season, we mentioned that Bobko was new to the series, but it turns out he just had not been racing with NARRA since 2011. Well, he’s back, and he is already looking to claim a championship. At this point Bobko can only be challenged for the title by the Subaru STI of Tom Steffey. Steffey, at last word, was working hard to get ready in time for the NJMP event.

This event is open for spectators and tickets can be purchased from NJMP online or at the gate. Don’t miss the action of the NARRA GT cars and the open wheel classes of the Formula Championship Series.

Viper 1 Pitt Race
Arrow Racing Engines Grand Prix of Pitt Race Preview

The North American Road Racing Association (NARRA) visits the recently expanded Pittsburgh International Race Complex (Pitt Race) this weekend July 31st - August 2nd for the Arrow Racing Engines Grand Prix. Rounds 9 and 10 of the USGT and Whelen Time Trial championship promises to be a hard fought race for the national titles and the conclusion of the Great Lakes Cup regional title.

In the wheel to wheel action of the USGT series, the GTU (unlimited) class has four of the top five position drivers ready to take on the new 2.8 miles of Pitt Race. The points leader, Tom Antonelli, in his All Chicago Fleet Dodge Viper #415 has been on the podium for six of the eight rounds already run this season. Antonelli holds a nine point lead over the second place RH Motorsports #53 Dodge Viper of Mike Hartley. After a rough start to the season, Hartley has come on strong winning two of the last four races. The Coastal Pet Motorsports #1 Dodge Viper of Jim Stout is in third place, but a good weekend could see him close the gap. Driver Louis-Philippe Montour and his #27 Le Bon Dodge Viper, currently in fifth place, could be the wild card in this weekend’s race. Montour had a setback during the Forgeline Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio that caused him to miss Saturday’s race. He more than made up for it by winning Sunday’s race from start to finish. In fact, Montour has won each of the three NARRA races he started in this season. His presence at Pitt Race could mean a shift in the top three for the GTU championship.  Antonelli also leads the Great Lakes Cup and tramadol discount will need every point he can score to stay ahead of Stout.

The GT1 leaderboard has Russ Oasis and his V.E.R.T. / PartsRack #98 Dodge Viper on top followed by the #49 Dodge Viper of Dave Moore. Each driver has had a win and multiple other podium level finishes this season. They have finished within one position of each other several times, and this weekend could be pivotal to Moore closing the distance for the lead. Kurt Sollberger and his #48 Swiss Micron Dodge Viper has an opportunity to move into the top three if driver Seth Palatnik does not start.  Both Kathy Stout in the Arrow Racing Engines #2 Dodge Viper and Scott Welham in the #61 McCann Racing Dodge Viper will be looking to score well this weekend to improve their chances at making a run for the GT1 championship.

Victor Caldarelli Jr, in his Lintz Collision Dodge Viper is in control of the GT2 class. His rival, Chuck Quinton, driving his RotarySwing.com Ferrari 360 Challenge, had troubles during the June event at Virginia International Raceway (VIR). Quinton looks to be rejoining the drugstore fight at Pitt Race, but it may be in a different class. Caldarelli, no doubt disappointed that his closest competitor may be in another class, will still have to stay focused on the task at hand. Another Ferrari driver, Lance Cawley and his InSite Wireless Ferrari F430, has announced his intentions to move from GT1 into GT2. The Viper versus Ferrari battle will continue!

GT3 has been all Zach Davis and his #28 Chevrolet Corvette this season. After his competition had to end the season early at VIR, Davis ran uncontested at Mid-Ohio. Despite being able to cruise to a win, Davis drove like the entire season was on the line. Davis, unable to attend the Pitt Race event, will no doubt be watching the results to see if an unknown GT3 competitor turns up.

The Whelen US Time Trial championship TTU leader, Brian Faessler in his Paul’s Automotive Engineering #11 Ford Mustang is eager to continue his winning ways and put some distance between himself and http://ktgr.com/buy-viagra-online-using-paypal the second place driver Mansen Way. Mansen is working on a last minute thrash to repair an engine problem that also kept him out of the competition at Mid-Ohio.  If Mansen can’t make the show, the #1 NASCAR of Leland Blanding could move into the third or even second place position overall.

The TT2 class leader Phil Grabow is working to get his Element Tuning Subaru STI ready for the weekend. With his closest competition sidelined for the remainder of the season, Grabow could extend his lead and essentially wrap up the national title if he is able to get his car to the race.

The surprise story in TT3 is that of Walter Bobko. With his #88 Ford Mustang Laguna Seca, Bobko could move into first place in the Great Lakes Cup and even the overall championship. He will be facing local competition from two different Corvette drivers who are more familiar with Pitt Race. Bobko joined NARRA for the first time at Mid-Ohio and it looks like he will be at two of the remaining three events.

The Arrow Racing Engines Grand Prix of Pitt Race could see several overall lead changes in the North American road Racing championship and the racing will be exciting as the drivers get used to the new parts of Pittsburgh International Race Complex. There will be live music from Mothers Little Helpers, the BRGR and Franktuary food trucks, and Flashlight Drag Racing at Pitt Race after 5pm on Friday (July 31st). The NARRA USGT and Whelen US Time Trial competition takes place on both Saturday and Sunday.

The Formula Championship Series will also be joining NARRA this weekend with three different classes of open wheel racing. High powered GT race cars, open wheel race cars, drag racing, and music. This weekend will have something for everybody. $6 dollar admission at the gate on Friday after 4pm.  No admission charge on Saturday or Sunday!

New Drivers and Great Racing at the FORGELINE Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio

The drivers in the North American Road Racing Association created their own fireworks during the FORGELINE Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio over the July 4th holiday weekend. Vipers, Mustangs, Corvettes, Aston Martins, and more were treated to sunny skies and cialis levitra sales good weather for taking on the 2.3 miles of turns and elevation changes of the legendary circuit.

Saturday’s USGT championship qualifying session started off a bit rough when the #27 Le Bon Dodge Viper of L.P. Montour, who had run very strong in practice, failed to make the first flying lap and caused a caution flag to be out for a number of laps. Once the green flag flew, the Paul’s Automotive Engineering #18 Ford Mustang driven by Brian Faessler proved to be fastest, taking the pole position for Saturday afternoon’s race.

The early part of the race was a great battle in the GTU class between the Mustang of Faessler and the #53 RH Motorsports Dodge Viper of Mike Hartley. Jim Stout started P5 in his #1 Coastal Pet Motorsports Dodge Viper, but steadily worked his way forward eventually catching and passing the #415 Chicago All Fleet Dodge Viper of Tom Antonelli. Hartley would drive a fantastic race and take the class win and first place overall. Stout finished in second followed by Antonelli in third.

In GT1 the battle for the podium boiled down to the #49 Dodge Viper of Dave Moore, the #98 VERT Dodge Viper of Russ Oasis, and the 999 Motorsports #9 Supersport Mk II piloted by multi-championship winning pro driver Craig Stanton. The beautiful orange colored Supersport Mk II, in its North American racing debut, was very fast in the corners, but sacrificed some top end speed compared to the Vipers on the straights. At the checker, it was Oasis with the win, followed by Moore and Stanton. Stanton was quoted as saying how impressed he was with the level of competition the NARRA drivers bring to the table.

Victor Caldarelli was in control of GT2 from the start in his #93 Lintz Collision Dodge Viper. The #62 Aston Martin Vantage of Pirelli World Challenge driver Mark Klenin did not take the green flag. Caldarelli could have cruised to the win, but he ran as if Klenin was on his tail the entire time. In fact, Caldarelli’s times were within a few tenths of the faster GT1 class. Cladarellli considers Mid-Ohio his home track and levitra be ordered in usa the advantage certainly showed.

The lone GT3 entry of the #28 Simgear.com Chevrolet Corvette of Zach Davis was in a similar situation to Caldarelli when his regular competition did not make it to the event. In another terrific display of sportsmanship, Davis still pushed hard and raced like the championship was on the line.

In the Whelen US Time Trial series there were several names new to the NARRA grid. Tony Calabrese, Dennis Rollinger, and Walter Bobko, all made the american viagra company NARRA debut. The field was made up of a pair of Vipers, a pair of Mustangs, and a WRX STi.

Experienced drivers however, were the name of the game in TTU. Brian Faessler, this time in a different Paul’s Automotive Engineering Ford Mustang, squared off against former NARRA associate, Tom Drewer with the Team Forge Ahead Dodge Viper. At the end of Saturday’s competition, Faessler’s 1.27:783 proved faster than Drewer by just less than one half of a second with a 1.28:253

Tony Calabrese in his Pure Tuning Subrau STI took adavantage of his knowledge of the track and his all-wheel drive grip to take first place in TT1 with a 1:28.489. Allen Steig drove his Dodge Viper to second place with a 1:31.963 and Dennis Rollinger took third in his Dodge Viper with a 1:37.171. Walter Bobko found himself alone in TT3 so he comfortably took the class win with his Ford Mustang.

The arrival of Sunday meant a new day and another round of the USGT and USTT championships. Despite the setbacks faced by multiple drivers on Saturday, everyone was back in the game for the USGT race.

Montour, determined to make up for missing the big show on Saturday, decimated the field by posting a 1:23.550 putting himself on the pole for both GTU and the overall field. When the green flag dropped, Montour charged ahead to take the class win and the overall race victory. Hartley, finshing in second position was almost one minute behind at the finish. Stout would take the third place podium step in GTU, followed by Ray Sweers in his Positron Dodge Viper, Antonelli, and Faessler. It should be mentioned the effort put in by Faessler, competing in two different cars in the two different series over the weekend shows the passion and drive he has for motorsports.

GT1 was wintess to another fantastic race among the http://peyups.com/cheap-levitra-online-pharmacy six cars in the class. Moore drove a beautiful race and would take the win in class followed closely by Oasis, less than one second behind. Scott Welham in the McCann Racing Dodge Viper #61 claimed the third and final podium spot. Steve Loudin in his Tricel Dodge Viper #007, Seth Palatnik driving his #33 Dodge Viper, and Craig Stanton would round out the field. Stanton mounted an early challenge and was initially leading the GT1 class. After pitting to check on a loose suspension component, the team leader decided to retire the car rather than take any chances. The 999 Motorsports Supersport was a great addition to the GT field and we hope to see more of them in the future NARRA races.

In GT2, Caldarelli and is something similar to cialis for women Klenin staged a great two car battle with each other. Ultimately Klenin would be the class winner, but Caldarelli showed he was game to take on the pro driver. After the race was over, Caldarelli was overheard saying how much fun the race was and how comparable the two cars were. The special note here is that Klenin was not on the spec Hoosier Racing Tire, so his race was not scored towards the stonetemplepilots.com championship point total.

Davis, once again uncontested in GT3, ran his Corvette at maximum pace for the duration of the race. Unfortunately, he had to park the car at the very end of the race and was not able to take the checkered flag.

The Whelen US Time Trial had yet another new competitor join the field on Sunday as NARRA welcomed Marty Yockel and his #34 Ford Mustang in the TT2 class.

Faessler once again took the TTU victory with a 1.27:480, just eclipsing his Saturday best time. Drewer used every inch of the racing surface and more to turn in a 1.28:828. TT1 was a repeat of Saturday’s finishing order with Calabrese on top with a 1.28:962, Steig with a 1.30:705, and Rollinger with a 1.36:054. Walter Bobko was notably faster this time around compared to his Saturday best. He posted a best lap of 1.44:493, almost two seconds better than the day before. Yockel had a rough day sorting out some gremlins within the car and never recorded a lap at competition pace. We know he will be back when the series continues at Pittsburgh.

We send special thanks out to our sponsors and friends at FORGELINE Alloy Wheels for continuing to support NARRA and the drivers in our series. They showed true hospitality by throwing a Friday night party to celebrate the race and the 4th of July holiday. FORGELINE supports racing efforts both big and small, we are happy to have them as a partner.

Up next is the Prefix Arrow Racing Engine Grand Prix of Pitt Race, July 31st-August 2nd.
